Love
My Nephew is turning 5 in a few months, I’ve watched him grow up from the day he was born he constantly amazes me with how much he learns and understands each day.
It makes my weeks, when my parents and my sister tell me about how he talks about during the week and wants to grow up to be like me. It gives me that much motivation to be a better person and lead by example for him. Although 18 years a part, I don’t think anyone can be too old to be a roll model.
“I want more shoes so I can wear different ones everyday like Uncle”
“I wanna wear my red shirt like Uncle”
“I wanna ride my motorcycle(bicycle) around the house like uncle”
“I wanna be big like Uncle”
Words of that nature can melt any man’s heart. One of the biggest things I’m really happy about is his early love for music. He’s constantly listening to music, and dancing around. My mom asked why he loves to listen to music and he responded “because uncle always listens to music in his room” - I’m really wanting my sister and brother in law to push him to learn an instrument but that’s up to them.. I’m just happy to be a such a big part of his life, even when no longer at home.
