Are You Happy?
Studies show unhappy people who win the lotto are happy short term but once everything settles down, and they have all this money, they’re still unhappy. Even after the initial shock of winning and obvious overzealous spending things don’t change.
This phenomena is also true for those who become paralyzed after an accident. Would you be happy if you were confined to a wheelchair for the rest of your life?
Food for thought.. I just read a story about a 9 year old who was paralyzed after a car wreck who was put into a special education class because he was physically disabled. He took everything he was dealt and now teaches special ed students. (twist was the article was written about him, BY him)
Do you think you are happy? I feel I would be the same guy regardless…
